It all started in 2003 as a pure hobby project — without any commercial intentions. The original goal was simply to provide small scripts and web applications to help solve everyday problems for website operators. At the time, I never imagined that people would actually pay for them and that this would eventually grow into a small business for nearly two decades, including at one point even a civil law partnership (GbR).

One thing, however, always remained unchanged: all applications continued to be available free of charge as long as they were not used commercially by companies.

Over the years, numerous web applications were developed, reaching more than 100,000 downloads in total. These included systems for surveys, statistics, news publishing, and guestbooks. By far the most successful product, however, was the newsletter system “MAILSolved”.

In addition, several open-source projects were released alongside these products, mainly focusing on monitoring and supervising system infrastructures.

What was especially impressive was the long-term loyalty of many users and customers — some used the software for more than two decades. For that, I would like to sincerely thank everyone.

It is a great feeling to know that these solutions helped solve problems on so many websites — in other words: “u solved”.

• Captcha Library updated for PHP 8 compatibility
• If company input is activated, the field is now also output in the newsletter form
• Minor syntax and style adjustments in the newsletter form template
